Pros: location is great, customer service is awesome. Food: sub par breakfast food. Do not eat the home fries they are a greasy mushy mess. I prefer my hash browns or home fries to be crispy not cooked in animal fat and mushy. Both me and my husband didn't care for them. The banana pancakes were ok, but they were just pancakes with bananas on top...not inside as I'm used to when having any variation of the standard pancake. Would of been a 1 star but they took the side of home fries off the check.

We came in late morning on a Sunday and were seated within 15 minutes. The restaurant is clean and the service is excellent! Great menu selection and the coffee is good! Their waffles are DELICIOUS. Will definitely be going back!

We went this Saturday morning to eat here. The people greeted us with a smile right away and immediately sat us at a table. The waitress came over instantly and asked us for our drink orders. She came back in no time and took our orders after me telling to her to come back three separate times because I was still half asleep looking for the food I wanted. The food came out in about 20-30 minutes, which was great considering the restaurant was full by the time I ordered mine. My husband got the sausage plate and I got the pancake combo. Sausage plate, he was so full he didn't even get a chance to touch the eggs at all. They gave him like a huge cut up potatoe which he tried to eat all of, so of course he thought it was good. I tried his sausage link , it tasted so good, and was very hot, temperature wise. He said his sausage pattys were delicious too. Along with his toast. My pancakes were not as yummy as I had hoped considering I just went to Village Inn the other morning and was delighted by their melt in your mouth pancakes. The bacon I got was very chewy, it was good, but I like a little crisp to mine and it was slightly cold. My scrambled eggs with cheese had gross peices of potatoes in them. . .I dont like potatoes in my eggs personally, so either they make them that way or they dont clean the stove prior to cooking other foods.

There is nothing really inspiring about this place. The food is OK but it's really not very cheap for a diner. The Decore could be anywhere in the United States in any chain restaurant. I think the name is a misnomer because it makes it sound like a mom-and-pop establishment but it's definitely not.

Very hearty and filling breakfast skillets. Got the ckicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken ones and we could only finsh half. Good biscuits and coffee as well. Very friendly staff with prompt service.

My husband , son and I just enjoyed the most delicious breakfast!!!! We generally dine at Citrus, I was ready for a change. The variety here is awesome!!! The prices are fantastic!!! The waitress Amanda was very kind- great service and great food!!!

The people working there are very nice and friendly. When I went with my 3 kids they kept screaming because there where hungry and the waitress was so nice to bring out crackers staton she has small kids at home she knows the feeling. The food came out pretty fast and tasted really good. The only reason why I give them 4 stars is because now they don't do substitution for certain food. My daughter allergic to eggs and we couldn't sub the eggs for fries or anything else which that made me a little upset I had to pay extra for. Beside that everything else was good.

I have no idea why it took me so long to try Pop's! At first glance, they can be perceived as a bit pricey for breakfast but they give huge portions. My friend and I split the destroyer skillet and I still couldn't finish my half portion. Additionally, I'm usually not a sausage person but their sausage was delicious! I can't wait to go back and this time I'll bring my kids since kids eat free all day, everyday.

I was coming through and decided to try this place. I ordered the blue cheese burger thing with bacon cheese garlic fries on the side with chocolate milk and water to drink. My meal was really good and I'd come back but the $2 upgrade for the fries wasn't worth it to me also the milk cost 3 dollars for a small glass so if get a shake next time instead as that seemed a better deal.

Staff: were nice and friendly on top of their orders, and refills. Food: had breakfast here already a few times and their portions are very generous and tasty. They have a good size menu for breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Enjoy their house potatoes. Price is very affordable and there are only two locations Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. Not a bad place at all and bring your appetite.

OK, lately, it seems to be hit or miss with Pop's. While the staff is excellent, their food can border on average to downright tasteless sometimes. They are inconsistent which I am not happy about. I don't go out to eat often, but when I do I want to get the quality for what I'm paying for. Breakfast foods are not expensive and yet, there seems to be a real issue in South Hampton Roads in general with getting it right. I will still go to Pop's occasionally, but the inconsistency in their food prep/quality will ensure that I seek out other places to dine for breakfast. It would have been nice to have a consistently good neighborhood breakfast place to go to which has good quality food and is comfortable... guess I have to keep looking. :-(

This is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast or brunch. Can't go wrong with any of the items on their menu. Kids eat free, which is a big plus. Staff is always friendly. Love this place!

Pop's Diner is an amazing place! They go the extra mile with accommodations and service. You really do get you money's worth with the amount of food that they serve you! The atmosphere is welcoming and their staff are very friendly! The waiting time for your food is also very short no matter how busy they may seem. I would recommend all my friends and family to try this place out. It's family-friendly too!

Been here about three times already. All times I've been here were not bad. When you walk in the place is nice and tidy, has a little home feel to it. Booths all around and some tables here and there, carpeted flooring, natural lighting from windows on the entrance since and bulb lighting everywhere else. There's always specials on the board in the front when you walk in. If you didn't catch that then the server will happily inform you. Servers here are nice, very attentive and the check within five mins of you receiving food to see how everything is. I usually come here to get their pancakes/waffles. I love how fluffy and hot they are when it comes out. One time I came with my boyfriend who had a hangover at the time order "the hangover" which is a skillet with mostly potatoes, meat, onions, and cheese. It was okay in my opinion only because it was just bunch of carbs and protein mixed together, if you really want to cure a hangover it's better to include some more vegetables. For the price it was they could have made more flavor or added something interesting to it. This is an affordable, no strings attached breakfast place. I only come here for their hot cakes and waffles. Everything else is like any other breakfast. The service here is always good, no hassles, and you leave feeling full.

Awesome breakfast menu. Everything was delicious. kid kids eat free all day everyday !!! service is great. I got the hangover cure, which is chopped country fried steak , home fries, 2 eggs. Also got a side of bacon. large serving size. I couldn't even finish it. the only downfall was the coffee was$2.50 . I'll definitely be back

So this is the first time I have tried any Pop's Diner. We got the Hangover cure and strawberry french toast. Both were delicious! The strawberries were fresh and had a little crunch to them which I love. The Hangover cure was a huge meal and very hearty! If you're a meat and potatoes person this is the meal for you. The only complaint I have is the hangover cure didn't have very much of the fried steak on it. It could have just been a fluke but I will definitely be asking for more meat less potatoes next time. Other than that I plan to go again and would recommend it to anyone!

  • Anthony B.

Ive eaten here about 3 or 4 times and every time is great. The place is very warm and cozy. The hangover cure is my favorite on the menu. Ill keep coming to this place for sure.

I ordered the strawberry french toast combo, and my best friend had the hangover cure which was massive. Been here a few times and enjoyed my breakfast all times. The waffles were a little too sweet but still very tasty.

  • Kendal H.

Everytime I come, the service is great, wait time (if any) is short, food comes expediently, food is ALWAYS good. No matter what I get. Tinight I had the one eyed burger (double cheese juicy burgers w/ egg & bacon. Awesome.

Pop's is nice place to eat. Not too pricey for yhe wallet. The service is really good and staff is friendly. The food is good and best of all, kids eat free. Now you can't be that!

  • Kaila D.

LOVE this place for breakfast! I've been here several times now and everything I've had has been delicious, particularly the French toast (made with delicious challah bread) and the waffles! They truly are the best waffles in Virginia Beach. Great service every time!

  • David D.

Excellent service and food every time. The breakfast potatoes should be against the law they are so GOOD!!!!

I'm so disappointed $3.11 for a kids cup of OJ that's crazy. The food is always good. You had to lose one star though because you guys are really being ridiculous with that price.

Really good Sunday breakfast place. They serve huge portions. The cooking is very southern. Love the omelettes. The only negative complaint I have is the service.

    (4)

Best waffles! Quick and friendly service! Kids eat free all the time. We love coming here for breakfast. Their lunch and dinners are very good as well!

  • Drew P.

This is one of my favorites to come to for breakfast on Sundays. The food has always been good here. I usually get the french toast combo. The nice thing is that it's not too crowded earlier in the morning. I always ask for Lydia as she is a great server. I may be a local, but if you are not from the area, you should definitely come here to have a meal. You won't be disappointed. You also can't beat that kids eat free all day, every day of the week.

  • Mischita H.

We decided to stop in here for breakfast on Thursday morning...primarily because they have a kid's special - Kids eat free from the kid's menu every day all day (not a bad deal). I tried the Banana nut pancakes with eggs and turkey sausage patties ---the pancakes were AWEsome! A full stack topped with carmelized pecans, chopped banana and whip cream. We had a few hiccups - we had to send back an order of bacon and because my friend neglected to tell them he didn't want powdered sugar on his pancakes (allergic!) we had to send back his whole plate. They promptly replaced everything so I'd have to say that the service overall was pretty good and the staff was very nice. I would definitely consider returning, especially for those pancakes, when in the area.

My 3yro and I had breakfast here this morning on a whim! I checked out the reviews and gave it a go! I'm glad I did! I had scrambled eggs, home fries (from scratch; not frozen), really yummy sausage, & good coffee! My daughter had really tasty French toast; good bread & cooked perfectly, and scrambled eggs- she cleaned her plate! Oh, and kids under 6 eat free! Score! The waitress was really nice & friendly. The music was good and not too loud, the restaurant & bathroom were clean. This will be my new go-to place! I'm only giving 4 stars b/c it's breakfast.. That and I haven't tried their other food items! I'm sure it's tasty.

Breakfast was good, can not recommend anything but the breakfast. Fare is typically American, with eggs, French toast, pancakes. Decent enough food, service was good, and the place is very clean. Can definitely recommend or breakfast.

Most of the time, when we want breakfast for lunch or dinner, we go to IHOP...until now. Pops Diner won the 2009 "best kept secret" Best of Hampton Roads award. It's not the best kept secret anymore, as we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. It was well worth the wait. I ordered what I say is the best omelet I have ever had..IN LIFE! It was a simple ham, onion and cheese omelet. I made no sense how good that omelet was. I'm actually updating this about a month later, and I'M STILL THINKING ABOUT THAT OMELET! It was amazing. The service was...amazing! Even the price (where a kid eats free with a $7.99 adult purchase) was AMAZING! I can't find any other words to describe it.

Very nice place. Staff is very friendly, food is outstanding, prices are pretty good and with kids eating free makes it even better. I will definitely be back.

With out a doubt... the best darn waffle i have ever had! I love love love eating at Pops, the atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is aaaaamazing! This will always be my go to spot, after eating here... it's nearly impossible to eat at ihop again! I feel like i could write a novel about how much i love this restaurant, but i think a few simple words sums it up... Best...breakfast..place!

  • Deyonne C.

The place looked clean but it smelled not so clean. The food was a bit greasy for my taste. I ordered the egg and cheese bagel with turkey sausage and grits. It wasn't bad but not the best either. Not sure if I will return.

I've been to Pop's a few times, we just went there recently and thought I would leave my feedback about this most recent trip. The food has always been good when we go. It's never super busy so we have to wait for a seat (which I like) but enough people to know that people enjoy this place. I think my serving portion was pretty awesome, I had to take some home, which like never happens lol. My husband and older daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which they enjoyed and my youngest had a children's breakfast meal. I don't like how they did her scrambled eggs, they were tiny bits of a mashed up egg. I'm a scrambler and don't want to see white. The waitress was nice and the food came out quickly.

I treated a friend to breakfast here for giving me a ride to pick up my car from the dealer. We had an excellent breakfast adventure and very good service. Pop's was about half full and we were immediately seated. After coffee was served I ordered Destroyer Skillet which is a meat lovers dream. My buddy had the Corned Beef Hash Skillet, twice... When our waitress brought the food out she set mine down first, and then my buddies took a suicidal nose dive off the server tray and ended up ass up face down beside my buddy in his bench of the booth. This was hysterical and our waitress was extremely embarrassed to say the least. Needless to say everything was fine and not a drop of food ended up on my friend. Our waitress was beet read and we assured her everything was ok. Some of the other servers on staff came by and ribbed her a bit, I'm guessing it's not the first time something like this has happened. The kitchen rushed a remake thought and my buddy was eating his 2nd skillet in less than 10 minutes later. All in all the meal was filling and the price fair. Entertainment was of course free. :)

This is my families favorite brunch spot. We've ordered, soup, apotizers, burgers, breakfast.... everything is delicious. The pancakes and french toast are the best. I called ahead because I had a large group coming in with me on a Sunday morning and they seated us very quickly and the staff were very accommodating. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge so go in hungry. :)

    (5)
  • Alison M.

Wow this place is good! It is also VERY busy. It's not especially large inside so if you try to go for breakfast on a weekend morning before noon go ahead and expect to not only not be able to find a parking space but also to have to wait at least 45 minutes. All that being said, when you do finally get inside it is delicious. Service has been good the few times I've been and the food is really good. I've had a breakfast burrito with breakfast potatoes which were really really GOOD. I've also had their banana nut pancakes and they are really good as well with loads of bananas, candied nuts, and whipped cream - yum! Prices are reasonable and they also have lunch and dinner foods that look excellent too - though I have yet to try those (burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc.). It is centrally located and easy to find - this is one of my top breakfast places.

I love this place!! It tastes like my mama is in the kitchen cooking!! I always order a variety of things from this place but among my favorite is corned beef hash. I LOVE it and always have. It's good to be able to go to a restaurant and get something from back home. The waffles are tasty and also very pretty, almost don't wanna eat them bc they're so pretty lol. The eggs taste real tho i'm not entirely sure if they're substitute or not lol. The service is always very good. The ONLY thing I don't like abt the restaurant is the bathroom is single! No stalls just go in and there's one toilet. That's VERY annoying when there's a full house ur always waiting for the bathroom or when someone drops a bomb in there you have no choice but to squat (bc I NEVER sit on public toilets lol) over top it! So most times, if I can hold it I wait till I get to walmart or home to go lol. Part of me feels like I should take away a star for that lol. But the food is REALLY just that good lol. To close this out on a positive note, their menu is very versatile. They don't just offer the run of the mill eggs n bacon, they have skillets and omelettes and other options for breakfast too! They sell lunch and dinner as well. I love this place lol

This is an amazing locally owned restaurant in Virginia Beach. You are never at a shortage for food on your plate. The service is always on point and friendly and the owner is oftentimes there. I highly recommend their daily specials. The only one thing I have found I didn't care for is the catfish because of the way it's breaded. That's just a matter of personal preference though.

One of the best breakfast spots in VA beach. Service is great. Waffles are probably the best in the city. My girlfriend ordered the oatmeal and fruit. The fruit is always fresh and the food comes out really quick.

  • Cat M.

Yum, yum and yum! Super fast and great service on a busy Sunday morning. Food was made right and coffee was good too! Kid friendly and they will make you any meal for them - just might not be "free" - Did I mention ,that kids eat free every day from a kids menu! Yeah that's right. I will so be going back! My french toast was melt in your mouth and the side of Kielbasa was yum as well.

I've seen this place for the past year and have made assumptions by the outside on what kind of restaurant, food and ambiance awaited visitors on the other side of the front doors. This year long anticipation and build up for an experience is likely a contributing factor to my overall impression. So in seeing this place I had an impression and clearly it didn't match up. I went on a Sunday, it was pretty busy but seating didn't take long. I was almost instantly underwhelmed by the decor. It wasn't as cute as the outside of the building and just reminded me of a small chain IHOP. Once seated we were nestled in a small booth in the back. We we served quickly, but our waitress seemed pretty unprofessional. She often forgot things we asked for and I noticed this among other tables as well. There seemed to be a variety of food. I did not get breakfast food, although there were signs everywhere about them being a best of breakfast place. I'll admit, the neighboring table ordered breakfast which smelled wonderful. I ended up ordering the turkey on raisin bread. It was good, but very heavy. It reminded me of a place where it doesn't matter what you ordered it's going to be overstuffed, creamed and smothered in butter or sauce of some sort. So while the flavors were good together the food was just heavier than I prefer. I think if you are hung over this might be a good place to go. Otherwise, I think I'd opt for IHOP where there is more space and lighter food options.

Great place for breakfast or a relaxing lunch. The food is typical diner food for the most part with a few Greek items thrown in. The staff is very friendly and we have enjoyed many meals there with a party of 6 our more.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about Pop's. This location is definitely smaller than the Chesapeake location but the food and service were just as great. I love that kids eat free all day, every day. I also love that you can order breakfast all day! My littlest one decided she wanted a pancake and egg for dinner. It was delicious. My other little one ordered chicken tenders and fries. She wasn't disappointed either. My husband's fish and chips were good but not nearly as good as my amazing burger. I ordered The One Eyed Burger and it was huge! I was intrigued by the egg on it and oh man, it was amazing. I'm sure some people wouldn't even think to try a burger with an egg on it but after living in Japan for five years where that's normal, I had to try it. I wasn't even a little disappointed. I have every intention of going back and getting the same exact thing because it was THAT good. Good food, good prices, good service. Can't ask for more!

  • Devin M.

Been here twice and both times haven't disappointed. Tried the sweet turkey club and the hangover cure. Both were priced under $15 and portions where plenty. Also i believe kids under 10 eat free ... which is very appealing to parents.

  • Lois P.

This is without a doubt the best home cooking in Virginia Beach. I have eaten there many times and the service and congenial demeanor of the staff cannot be beat. Go hungry though because the portions are enough for two meals.

The wife and I were out for lunch and I suggested this as an option. And, overall, we were fairly pleased with the experience. We were seated right away and our server was attentive for our entire meal. I ordered some sort of steak sandwich. It's been a couple of weeks (yes, I have a tendency to procrastinate) and I have forgotten, though I think it was the greek steak sandwich. It was quite good and I would definitely get it again. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak (CFS) with mashed potatoes and fried okra and when it came out, they had given her green beans. So, we told our server and she brought some okra out shortly. When she brought the okra, she said "You can just keep the green beans". Really? Did you plan to take them back from us after YOU made the mistake? I think the Health Department might have something to say about that. Anyway, the CFS, mashed potatoes, and okra were pretty good. The sausage gravy was only OK, though. That was disappointing. It was a good lunch and I think we would go back again for lunch. I also would like to try breakfast. There were some pretty good looking breakfast dishes coming out around us, so that is another review in the future.

    (4)
  • Brittany M.

I had been here once before, so I knew the food would be great. I wasn't disappointed. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is our server had a bit of an attitude and was slow. It was decently busy, and I've worked in food service, so believe me---I get it. However, had you been at the table with my friends and I, you'd know what I was talking about. I'll be back if someone suggests it, but I'll be choosing d'egg first.

There is magic in the batter! Don't know what it is nut pancake and waffles here are so good. French toast is awesome too. Other than breakfast food is delicious too. Never had anything that I wished I hadn't tried. Daily specials are tasty too. Kids eat free!

Awesome lunch and dinner menu choices. They advertise amazing waffles, but we didn't try them today. The chicken carbonara sandwich and prime rib melts were amazing. Customer service and atmosphere were great. I'm definitely going back.

Kid's eat FREE, all day, every day - per Adult entree, $7.99 or more. Went on a busy Sunday morning, short wait. HOT and fresh coffee immediately. Got Pop's Special- 2 eggs, bacon, grits, $7 +/- . Lunch/dinner menu too. Pancakes were awesome. Friend's food was fresh and good too. Wifi spot (free I think). I will go again, great alternative to IHOP. "We could make waffles all day long" - lol.

My wife and I went to Pop's after a night of boozing. We found out that when you want heaping portions after a night out, Pop's and Tommy's (in Hampton) are the best around. I had the "Destroyer" skillet which I could not finish, and my wife had the egg and cheese bagel, which were both tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurant was also very very clean, which was a major surprise as most places in the breakfast game are usually musty and dirty. I will definitely come back and try it again the next time we are in the area.

I really enjoy the food here. Try the "Hang over cure" skillet and the French toast topped with strawberries. The skillets are pretty large so you might want to share. :)

Very good, full-service diner featuring lots of comfort foods and snacks. Think Applebee's, TGIF, and the corner diner, but toned down quite a bit.

Pop's rocks! I'd also been meaning to try Pop's for a while and am glad I finally did. Breakfast is available all day and they also have burgers, sandwiches and some typical diner dishes. Our food was delicious and appeared quickly. We had friendly service and a nice lunch!

Here for two weeks and trying to feed five Gluten free, dairy free kids meals out is sometimes a challenge. Pop's is the place to go for special diet breakfast, not because they have anymore options than the average place, but because they were kind about the forty trips to the kitchen to check packages, and they didn't pretend that their food was anything it wasn't. I was able to feed all the kids eggs and bacon, plus juice, and have a great breakfast myself, for less than half of what we have paid at other places in town. They were great about subbing grits for toast, and kept our coffee cups full the whole time we were there. The home fries were amazing! A potato cut up and fried! Imagine serving real food. Special diet folk, this is a great place to eat.

I tried Pop's this weekend and I'm glad I did. I've lived in the area for over a year and every time I go to Wal-Mart, I always tell myself I need to try that place! Especially since breakfast/brunch is my favorite meal(s) of the day. I ordered Pop's Special & exchanged the toast for a short stack of pancakes. Well, Pop did not disappoint! Ooh, and I loved their home fries. Yummy in my tummy. Everyone was very attentive even when it started to get busy. I noticed that they had garlic pinned down near the entrance, so I asked our waitress what it was for. She was caught off guard, so she asked someone else. They says it's to ward of evil spirits. I think they're lying. It's to keep those damn vampires away. ;)

Awesome food and great service! I am still full from the meal we had hours ago. My husband and I both had skillet meals and they were huge and tasted great! So glad we stopped here and will definitely be back again!

I love diners, they're cheap and you get a lot of food, its typically mediocre, but the price always seems to compensate for it. Pops Diner is something like that, but in reverse. The food was awesome! I don't think I've ever really had awesome diner food, but yeah, these guys make a mean ass breakfast skillet. And a serious bonus... good coffee! I know for a fact that I've never had good coffee at a diner. It usually taste like hell, so much so that I'll opt for orange juice or water. But yeah, way above average on the food, and great coffee, can't beat that. Obviously, traditional diner prices have now left the building. It wasn't expensive by any means, but not your usually $4.99 for a plate of food, lol. Anyway, my husband and I spend about $35 on breakfast here. My skillet was massive though, so I had a lot to take home. It was large enough to feed two people so that sort of makes up for the cost. Oh yeah, and kids eat free here. Nice.

Good food, good service. Avoid Sundays around mid-day. If you go early enough you can avoid the whole church fray.

We were in the area to get some glasses made at Lenscrafters, and we needed breakfast. We happened to see this place, and I am so glad we did! We were able to walk right in a get a booth. Our server promptly brought us our drinks and took our order. I got banana nut pancakes and a side of eggs. The pancakes were really good, and had lots of bananas and nuts (and whipped cream!). My husband got the Grecian Omelette, and said it was awesome (and it was huge!). His came with homefries, and he said that although they weren't the best he's ever had, they were OK. The real clincher here? KIDS EAT FREE. For each adult that orders $7.99+ worth of food, each kid gets to order off the kid menu for free! We got our son the French toast and scrambled egg plate, and we weren't going to order our 2 year old anything (she can eat off our plates), but our server said "Are you sure? It's free!" So we got her a plate of 5 silver dollar pancakes. Service was really good, and the place had a line when we left. Did I mention that KIDS EAT FREE?

Pros: Waffles, skillets, and omelettes Cons: Be ready to wait on the weekend This is a great mom and pop breakfast diner. This place really is on of VA Beach's best kept secrets. The waffles are awesome and the skillets are excellent. The staff is friendly and fast. It can be a little bit of a wait when they get busy but the food is well worth the wait.

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the service was incredible. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and welcoming staff. Our waitress was sweet, attentive and fast! The food came out quickly but it was awful. I ordered an iced coffee but it tasted like pure sugar, I couldn't drink it. I ordered the daily special which was a turkey, mushroom, swiss omelet. The mushrooms were fresh out of the can (Ew!). The home fries were not home fries at all. More like mushy/fried potatoes with onion powder, possibly the worst thing there. Finally the pancakes had this weird chemical taste to them. I don't know how you can mess up breakfast so bad. For the first time, my fellow Yelpers let me down. With the overall good rating I was expecting at least edible food. We ate virtually nothing we ordered and left extremely disappointed with the food. This is on my "never try again" list.

One of the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever had to use. Blood and urine on the floor; blood on the wall; overall filthy. One stall. Use the bathroom before hitting this place up. The food took a long time to get to us. It was good (thus the two stars instead of one) but the service was neither good nor friendly. I like the Pop's out at Greenbrier and decided to try this one after church one day. I will never make that mistake again. Just plain gross.

The service here is always welcoming. Delicious food too. My favorite thing to get is usually the Waffle Combo with Strawberries with a side of fruit and grits. The fruits are fresh and great with to eat along with the waffle. The food does come out pretty quick when it's not busy. I haven't had any terrible here yet! Very fair pricing too.

We tried this spot out recently after a doctor's appointment. The prices were low and the food quality and amount was beyond my expectations. Staff were super friendly. Coffee was delicious. This is a great local mom/pop spot. Nice little spot to check out if you dont want to hit up other related restaurants like waffle house or ihop.

Kids eat free i love that, the food is good and comes out quick, for the price i would rather eat at some place l a little more upscale, but the location and the kids eat free keeps me coming

Great service, Loved our waitress with the purple hair, she was so bubbly and attentive. Food was very filling and good. I don't normally order sausage because I'm mildly allergic to it (it make me nauseous real bad) and I had never had the turkey version so I thought I'd try it. First I bit into it and it looked pink on the inside which was odd, and of course it still tasted like regular sausage (no big surprise there.) The french toast I ordered was OK but their version wasn't what I expected. I like my french toast more eggy on the inside, and this was sort of dry and lite on the egg. But other then those two, everything else was good.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and with places like Pop's, you can be sure to get your day started properly. Located on the periphery of the Lynnhaven Mall, there's enough parking even if it's busy. This morning, it wasn't too busy. Coffee to start and then I opted for the Grecian Omelet, which arrived a few minutes later. A good portion with plenty of feta cheese and tomatoes, maybe not as much in the red peppers and onions department. But it was tasty! On the side, a good portion of really excellent home fries. Maybe a few drops of Texas Pete and they were perfect. Coffee was refilled often and it was good. Free wifi worked well. A nice restaurant, I would return!

Today was my first and last time visiting this establishment. I'm vegetarian and have been for over 25 years (I don't believe in eating my fellow earthlings). I ordered breakfast specifically without "meat" indicating I don't eat dead flesh. The meal came with home fries which after tasting them, I realized they had bacon in them which no one bothered to inform me of. This turned my stomach and I lost my appetite. When I told the waitress why I couldn't eat their food now, her friendliness disappeared and she whipped the plates out from in front of me and when I saw her again, a bill for the uneaten meal was handed to me. Poor customer service and a bit on the pricey side.
